Rab Mythic Ultra 180 – Down Sleeping Bag

The Mythic Ultra 180 down sleeping bag by Rab redefines the term ‘ultra-light’ in the sleeping bag sector. With a total weight of just 400 grams and 180 grams down filling, it provides first-class insulation performance and stores 32% more warmth than similar sleeping bags. This is made possible treating the fabric with heat-reflecting titanium technology, which has been previously been used in space travel.

The inside of the sleeping bag is lined with a titanium layer, which reflects body heat and means that 25% less down is needed to achieve the same thermal performance. Unlike aluminium, titanium does not dissipate heat to the outside and is much more durable. This is ensured by the electrostatic charge, which provides a robust, permanent bond between the titanium and the outer nylon material.

Filled by hand with European goose down from animals looked after to high welfare standards at the Rab production site in Derbyshire (England), the comfortable mummy shape with draft collar and 3D hood nestles the head in pleasantly warm, soft down and protects it without constriction. An angled foot area keeps the lowest part of the body pleasantly warm and offers plenty of space for the legs to move.
